- This event gives participants an opportunity to raise money for their chosen charity or club whilst finding out more about the historic River Tees.
- Starting at Middlesbrough College, walkers will be able to sign in from 08.30 and set off between 09.00 and 11.00, following the River Tees to Stockton’s Infinity Bridge and back. The full route (11 miles) involves crossing bridges and the Tees Barrage, and there will be a series of QR signs providing information about the river’s industrial heritage. Shorter return route options are available, including a one mile “dawdle” around Middlesbrough Dock, 6.9 miles to Newport Bridge and 9.8 miles to the Barrage. There is also a wheelchair friendly route that avoids gravel paths.
- All of the organisation and Health & Safety checks are in place, there will be marshalling and toilet facilities provided, and certificates of completion will be awarded to all finishers.
- Entry cost is £5/person, a family entry is available for £10, and there is a reduced charge of £4/person for groups of 10 or more. Participants can enter online using the blue Registration button on this page or by downloading the entry form file. The route map and sponsorship form can also be downloaded as required.
- All participants will be emailed details of how to get to the College, car parking, and availability of toilet and refreshment facilities.
