Joe Guerin, Middlesbrough Erimus Rotary's current President welcomes Paul.
After Paul left school he went into an insurance brokerage in Lloyds of London. He was then invited to become a founding partner in what is now a major financial services company which Paul ran for 32 years until he retired in 2023.
Paul has previously raised money for children’s charities doing the Three Peaks challenge. With more time available he is interested in becoming more involved in this area.
Sue Walton, a member of Middlesbrough Erimus Rotary and Paul’s sponsor, got to know Paul's wife Jo shortly after Sue moved to Seamer. Jo had ridden out race horses for Sue’s friend in the village for many years.
Jo and Paul got together through mutual friends and Jo later moved down to London. They all met up now and then at Country Fairs over the years.
Paul and Jo both took early retirement and moved up to Stokesley just over 3 years ago.
Joe Guerin, President of Middlesbrough Erimus, welcomed Paul as a member and stressed the key objective of Rotary, “Service above self”.
